The New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) sets out the procedures and guidelines for personnel employed by local authorities, utilities companies and their contractors for the purpose of any road works in the highway or on footpaths.

The theoretical aspect of the course is delivered in the classroom, but there is an emphasis on a hands-on experience, using all appropriate tools and equipment under constant supervision.

Assessment focuses on learners demonstrating their knowledge by practical assessments to agreed criteria, and by successful completion of multi choice question papers for each unit.
