Who are we?
We are Barrow Training Partnership – Keith, Jonathan and George. The company formed in 2004 to provide a quality training and assessment service for the construction industry.
We continue to provide this service to our construction clients as well as additional industries such as local authorities, manufacturing, utilities, engineering and schools. Our range of clients is diverse and we strive to deliver the best possible service to meet their ever changing needs.
What we do
We can deliver training and assessment the length and breadth of Cumbria with training centres in Barrow in Furness and Carlisle.
We also deliver on-site, at company premises or other suitable venues. We have recently built a large training centre in Carlisle, which opened in August 2020.
When do we do it?
When is best for you? If you have a group you can choose the date to suit.
We also schedule regular dates for our most popular courses. Unlike colleges we aren’t restricted to term times so we can start assessments at a time to suit the learner and employer.
Why do we do it?
Our mission is to ensure that:
• Construction workers have the skills and qualifications required to work competently and safely in industry.
• Construction employers have sufficient trained and qualified workers to meet their business needs.
We believe everyone in construction should have the knowledge and understanding to allow them to complete their work competently and safely in order to return home each night safe and well, having done a productive days work. We are committed to providing quality information, advice and guidance (IAG) so that our learners can go on to achieve their full potential. This commitment is reflected in the achievement and retention of the Matrix quality standard awarded for IAG.
Where do we do it?
We provide our services to our wide ranging client base across the county of Cumbria.
Our short courses range from asbestos awareness, work at height and manual handling through to accredited training such as confined spaces and street works. We also deliver construction related on-site assessment incorporating NVQ’s from levels 2 to 7, in a variety of occupations. We work with leading industry awarding bodies – NOCN, City & Guilds and IOSH.
We employ a number of industry experts to deliver our training and conduct our assessments. This means we can provide the best most comprehensive service to our clients.
