DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) sets out the \nprocedures and guidelines for personnel employed by local \nauthorities\, utilities companies and their contractors for the \npurpose of any road works in the highway or on footpaths. \n                      Benefits of attending this course: \n\nA comprehensive understanding of the risks\, and control\n\nmeasures to be applied around buried services in order \nto avoid direct contact with them. \n\nBetter planning of work in the highway\, to promote a safe\n\nsystem of work\, install signing\, lighting and guarding correctly\, \nand to remove it in the correct sequence\, once work has \nbeen completed. \n\nGain a better understanding of different methods of excavation\,\n\nand the tools and equipment used. \n\nHave an ability to carry out or supervise reinstatement of\n\nopenings in the highway in accordance with current \nstipulated procedures. \nThe theoretical aspect of the course is delivered in the \nclassroom\, but there is an emphasis on a hands-on experience\, \nusing all appropriate tools and equipment under constant supervision. \nAssessment focuses on learners demonstrating their knowledge by \npractical assessments to agreed criteria\, and by successful completion \nof multi choice question papers for each unit. \nUnits covered within the course: \nOperatives \n\nLA – Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus\nO1 – Signing\, Lighting and Guarding\nO2 – Excavation in the Highway\nO3 – Re-instatement and Compaction Backfill Materials\nO4 – Re-instatement of Sub-Base and Road base in Non-Bituminous Materials\nO6 – Re-instatement in Hot-lay Bituminous Materials\nO8 – Re-instatement of Modular surfaces and concrete Footways\n\nSupervisors \n\nLA – Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus\nS1 – Monitoring Signing\, Lighting and Guarding\nS2 – Monitoring Excavation in the Highway\nS3 – Monitoring Re-instatement and Compaction Backfill Materials\nS4 – Monitoring Re-instatement of Sub-Base and Road base in Non-Bituminous Materials\nS5 – Monitoring Re-instatement in Bituminous Materials\nS7 – Monitoring Re-instatement of Modular surfaces and concrete Footways\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4690″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1617718479957{margin-top: 30px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
